- Details: This large Chinese headrest in the form of a reclining child is a unique and charming addition to any Asian-inspired home decor. Hand-painted enamel with a happy floral pattern, in pink, blue and yellow. Known as an opium pillow or porcelain pillow, originally made from the 10th to the 14th century, and shaped like animals, plants or small children, with a curved top surface for the head, this one is not nearly as old, a 20th-century replica, and highly collectible. Made of heavy ceramic, this person-shaped figurine adds a touch of chinoiserie to any room. This one is unmarked so we're unable to tell more about its history or maker. It is large, 12" Long and very heavy, (almost 4lbs prior to packaging), will need lots of packaging to arrive safely. Please keep this in mind at check-out.

- Condition: Vintage - Used. Very Good Vintage Condition. No issues noted. The dark shaded areas are part of the piece, we believe it's to show depth, but they are definitely painted on, can't remove.
